Lauren Mazzuca

Lauren joined Mathers McHenry & Co. as an associate after being called to the bar in 2023. Lauren is a dedicated advocate who provides strategic, pragmatic, and timely advice and solutions to her clients.

Lauren is building a diverse practice in employment law. She has experience in wrongful and constructive dismissals, employment contracts, workplace policies, executive compensation, and human rights complaints. Prior to joining Mathers McHenry & Co., Lauren completed her articles at a full-service firm in the Greater Toronto Area. As a student, she consistently sought out opportunities to build her knowledge of employment law. Lauren worked at the Workplace Safety & Insurance Board and in private practice while studying for her law degree.

Lauren graduated with a J.D. from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. While in law school, Lauren served as the Vice-President, Communications, and President of the Labour and Employment Law Society for two consecutive years. In addition, Lauren worked with Pro Bono Students of Canada and Community Legal Aid representing clients.

Prior to law school, Lauren completed her Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Law and Business at the Toronto Metropolitan University. Her business background allows her to understand the nuances of the workplaces in which her clients work in or lead and tailor her approach to effectively achieve their desired goals.

Outside of the office, Lauren enjoys spending time with her family and friends, finding new recipes to try in the kitchen, and doing pilates.
