Spirit of Barbra Schlifer Award

Mathers McHenry & Co. is happy to offer our support again to support the Spirit of Barbra Schlifer Award and the Schlifer Clinic. The award recognizes a nominee with “an outstanding commitment to disrupting gender-based violence and supporting women (self-identified, nonbinary, intersex, gender diverse and Two Spirit folks who want to build lives free from violence through increased access to justice and other systems.” The Schlifer Clinic offers legal, counselling and interpretation services and works to make justice and safety a reality for people in need.

We have supported the Spirit of Barbra Schlifer Award since the firm opened and we are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate the incredible work of the award winners. Past winners include Leilani Farha, Deepa Mattoo, Loly Rico, and Christa Big Canoe.
