Mark Omenugha
Mark Omenugha joined Mathers McHenry & Co. as an associate after being called to the bar in 2023. He is a pragmatic advocate who is focused on achieving cost-effective results for his clients.
Mark is building a diverse practice in employment law. He has experience in matters relating to termination, wrongful and constructive dismissal, mergers and acquisitions, workplace investigations, and commercial litigation. Prior to joining Mathers McHenry & Co., Mark was a summer and articling student at a prominent full-service firm in Toronto.
Mark completed his J.D. at the University of Windsor. While in law school, Mark worked with the Black Law Students Association, Pro Bono Students Canada, the Career Services Office, and the Justice Skills Workshop Series. Mark also served on the appointments committee, which selected the inaugural Don Rodzik Family Chair in Law and Entrepreneurship. Mark competitively mooted, representing Windsor Law in the 2021 Gale Cup and the 2022 Canadian National Negotiation Competition. For his outstanding contributions to the Windsor Law community, Mark was recognized with a Students’ Law Society award in 2021. He also received the Honourable Justice Alexander Isaac Scholarship, which is awarded to a first-year law student of African descent with a demonstrated promise of academic excellence, community service, and financial need.
Prior to law school, Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts with an Honours Specialization in International Relations from Western University. Outside of his legal practice, Mark is an avid fan of soccer and movies. In his free time, he enjoys reading, film photography, and attending concerts.
